Team tourney report!

AWW YEAH DAFT PUNKKKKKK <------------- win

Well me and Tyler (royal fork) here went to "Tower Games" in Minneapolis. For a team tourney we both brought deathwing.

First impression was ZO MAI GAR WHERE ISt THAU TERRAIN????????? They had 0 yes 0 LOSB (well almost 0) pieces of terrain except a few bastions! No wonder razor spam is so good!

heres our armies, tylers is the unpainted mess on the left >_< jk man.

Here is a eldar/necron coalition.

Our first mission was:

KP (mark an opposing opponents 1k list all those count as KP, they chose tyler).

Here is our deployment, we have 2 terminator squads in reserve to deep strike mid table

Here is their deployment, oh and btw THEY STOLE THE INITIATIVE!

Their first turn movement/reserves.

Their resulting shooting killed 2 termies at max.

Our movement we set up multiple kill zones IE: the center.

Our shooting popped a vindi, messed up another one and blew up a lasplas.

This is me going HAI GUYS...well terminator style to the command squad...i took like one wound and wiped the squad.

Our turn we moved towards the vindi and the other ultramarine vindi in the top right, tyler also moved towards their rhino whilst my far right squad moved up towards the objective in the minefield up ahead.
In shooting i stunnded the vindi (purple on the left, the other purple one got wrecked by a sneaky ass land speeder >_<)

After getting around 20 str8 auto hits on the vindi (purpz) it exploded, the vindi in the top pic will also shortly be destroyed.

His movement he moved the libby assault squad rhino up into our kill box and the baal is in the process of flaming the squad on the left.

tyler lost one man from the baal.

Now our movement we encircled the rhino there. and if you click the pic you can see some terminators to the far right by the tree thing, yeah they killed the baal :D 47 inches away :D.

We promptly revved our chain fists and went to town on the rhino.

Tyler also nuked the rhino on the far left of the board (they guys havent been put into the wreck yet)

(the rhino guys got pinned, one of his dreads got nuked and tylers squad that previously killed the rhino was wiped), so i moved my squad in for support. Tyler assaulted the pinned squad losing 2 naters and killing everyone -the sang priest.

This is before tylers lone termie (and my guys moving through that building) died.

I assaulted and killed the tac squad, and moved my naters onto the objective.

I then proceded to nuke the assault squad with kraks, and kill the other dread. The nilla guys speeder was owned by tylers. resulting in their tabling, these guys were great opponents and had horrid rolling it was a really fun game.

Alright so we got into assault with the sanguinor lost some naters and it started going down hill.

No more pics :?, but we essentially tied primary and lost the other two because to capture quarters you needed both coalitions troops. Awesome opponents very close game and just great.

Now for my rant aww yeah!

The last game was pretty fun eldar/DE coalition, men got angry fun times !

Oh yeah just to brighten the mood we had a necron guy tell us that he played heavily in tournies and was thinking of moving to like california or something so he can "teach these space marine kids that necrons are the best dex".

Well heres my first model for my angels of redemption (this will be my third dark angels army so why not mix it up). I'm going for a slightly above average tabletop quality becaaauuuseee:

Me and tyler (royalfork) are going to a team tournament on the 13th. He is bringing...my old dark angels army i sold off to him, and im bringing my new DA army.

Hello! It's Julian again. (hai julian...) and today i have a battle report for you!!!!

Opponent: Didnt catch his name...I did shake his hand though!

2x max warrior squads with deathspitters and one large blast gun
2x 20 man hormie squads...nom nom
10x stealers with the bigdaddy brood lord

2x Zoies in a spore pod thing...he didnt have the model so we proxied some air as it

My list:

2x cyclone, 3 TH/SS, 1x claw terminator squads
2x 6 man bikers, double melta (other squad had double plas and apothecary) Mbombs and P wep

*note* i forgot some of my models (boo hiss) so had to add some upgrades

*also note im using a mac for this and havent used one before and it deleted my entire post of this before so their may be some inaccuracies (read: laziness)

He fired his hive guard at my 'Naters on the hill...or near it. It did nothing (this will be a re occurrence)

I went for the easy kill point and fired mostly everything at his stealers, knocking em down to 3

*Very tactical thinking part...ACTIVATED* Well my inital plan was to pop the stealers for a point easily. That didnt work...im going to get assaulted next turn oh god i hate my life.

His turn 2 movement:

Yeah im gunna get assaulted ><

His shooting:

it went kind of like: PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW...DOOSH DOOSH DOOSH DOOSH *cue explosions* and when the smoke cleared my termies were like...enjoying the rain. So i took no casualties.

His assault:

He managed to kill...ONE TERMIE. Yes one termie...its like buddha peed on my dice (no offense to anyone?...) The hills were area terrain so i got to strike first, and the genies didnt make it into assault.

My turn 2: movement Consisted of me shuffling around a bit (no pic cause it was minor shuffle duffle.

My shooting, i pew pewed at the warriors and did nothing...i did waste a stealer and put a wound on the brood lord

My assault:

I charged my terminators into the gaunts there. and my Naters punked A TON OF GAUNTS, it was ridiculous. His fearless saves hurt him aswell. he did kill one charging termie thats all.

*tactical assessment..(retarded blathering): HOLY CRAP i took that like a total beast! I should consolidate my battle line and waste the stealers, then procede to shoot the crap out of everything else while denying KP to him.

His turn three movement:

Shuffling...

His shooting: did nothing...i think caused maybe one casualty.

ONE THING THOUGH. His zoies landed by sammael and proceeded to do nothing.

His assault:

He charged the stealers in, they killed one nater then every one of them died but broodie hes down to one wound.

My movement:

No pic sorrz ><. I shuffled a bit. 

Shooting:

I went pew pew on his warriors and killed like 2 from normal saves. And the zoies pod and one zoie

My assault: (note he moved the warriors a bit closer, the pictures kind of got muddled) I charged his warriors closest to teh naters with just lightning claw man and P fister, he did nothing. I punked 3 warriors with P fist. I also killed his other zoie

He then decided to concede as MY TERMINATORS WOULDNT F'ING DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think....they took like a few rounds of shooting from all death spitter equipped warriors, 20 hormies assaulting, a stealer and brood lord. and hive guard shooting them every turn possible.

This game went extremely well for me and i hope you liked the rep, hoping to do vid reps soon.

My opponent was a great guy, except he kept screaming FAIL THE MOTHER F*CKING FNP SAVE GOD DAMMIT! every time i had to make one for my nater lol. There was some little kid their too and his dad kept like glancing nervously at our table ><. The dude was awesome though and took my rolling like a boss. I WILL LEARN YOUR NAME NEXT TIME AWESOME OPPONENT!
