Battle report

It was Tyler and I practicing for the team tournament coming up on the third.

We got

His list was something like
Tervigon

Like maxes out unit of stealersx2

Ours was:

Our deployment looked like this (note the nids had one movement phase beforehand)

Joe kills a terminator with hive guard. We kill the hive guard unit with missiles...




Here's where joes reserves came in, both stealers, mawlock, and trygon. You can see the mawlock in the midst of Tylers terminator fort, we lost 3 naters this round and a speeder.

Now I told Tyler to shoot the trygon then assault the mawlock. Trygons down to 2, and for some reason Tyler assaults the mawlock with a depleted terminator squad...it escapes.




Now here (pic below). I'm prepping to assault the stealers on both flanks.







We frag the crap out of the stealers on both sides, then charge. On my side I wipe the stealers while belial takes a wound and one nater dies.

On Tylers side his assault move got all messed up and his chaplain didn't make it...I lost 3 naters to the trygon, he lost 1-2 I killed te trygon and some stealers, Joe ended up losing combat and lost a few to fearless.




Now, (pic above) this is my last pic, but joes mawlock shows it's ugly face again and scatters away from my terminators, the doom also lands...off the edge and we place it in the corner :D.

The stealer assault goes poorly with a tie combat.

Our turn I assault the mawlock and nuke the dooms pod, the stealers are wiped to the brood lord who stays in combat...I think their was some shenanigans going on their but whatever.

Itsy bitsy pieces...let's see you hit and run from that!

Game ends in a tie

Having to take pictures blows for this. I'm probably goin to do video bat reps from now on. I just got a flip video camera anyways.

We also played joes 1k blood angels and a 1k necron guy with our terminator allied forces, in spearhead capture and control. it went to the secondary which was KP which me and Tyler won.

Angels of redemption test figure, and tournament talk

Well heres my first model for my angels of redemption (this will be my third dark angels army so why not mix it up). I'm going for a slightly above average tabletop quality becaaauuuseee:

Me and tyler (royalfork) are going to a team tournament on the 13th. He is bringing...my old dark angels army i sold off to him, and im bringing my new DA army.

Ard Boyz

Ard boyz did not go well for me and my space wolves, a mix of poor match ups and just bad luck put me in a pitiful 5th place.

Scenario one
Opponent: Draigo wing Grey knights
Result: Loss
Reason: complete lack of ap2 or less weaponry and my complete lack of experience fighting Grey Knights.


Scenario two
Opponent: Tyranids
Result: Draw
Reason: I pretty much tabled him, and because it was an objective game and in the end i had no troops left to capture


Scenario three
Opponent: Battle Wagon orks
Result: Loss
Reason: to much av14 for me to handle, and I don't think i made a single save that entire game


So that wraps up this years Ard Boyz, overall it was a disappointment but hey theres other tourneys yet to come.

ARD BOIZ

Well it was great fun at my first ard BOIZ
I brought dark eldar
Pretty much a random assOrtment of models I borrowed from my friends.
I played: space wolves, a modified Logan wing with some LF
Major victory with 3/4 BP

Then necrons
15 destroyers 3 monoliths
First turn he stunned and wrecked a raider, first turn I kill all the destroyers...
Phase out massacre
LOL


Then I played my friend Jeff (power gamer :P)
Msu/purifier spam
I got massacred


I ended up with 3rd place and got a box of hellions

Well! This is the first part of my imperial guard commission I accepted from my friend Jeff, hai Jeff!

It's a large (114 I think) model count imperial guard Army he got for 25$ and it came with a case!

It's mainly all mordian iron guardsmen! With some valhallen warriors and some steel legion.

I just finished stripping around 27 (taking It slow) and wow I like these models alot! They just ooze character!

I used simple green for about 3 hours soaking then around an hour of scrubbing with a brush. I switched hands because I'm trying to learn to use my left hand as much as my right because I'm a hipster. :p

Well heres my first venom painted to my tabletop quality. I plan on going back in and touching it up.

It's name is "keen blade" which is in japanese on the first picture

on the right side it says death..I think and kill or something like that.

Also my shipment from Dicebucket arrived today with 30 more warriors...

New trueborn and venoms

Well my venoms arrived from eBay along with my trueborn. The seller did glue the ball joint in the venom which allowed them to then break via shipping so gratz man I love you too!

They came on scenic bases which means I will have to alter my display board slightly...but thats okay.

Thursday gaming sum up

So I usually go to my FLGS every thursday to play with some people down there and buy stuff.

Today I brought my 1500 DA list im playtesting for when i re-do my DA. Also because I dont have all of my dark eldar models (I did get a venom today so only 7 more ><).

I played Tyler (royalfork), He was using a cut down spacewolf list consisting of:

Rune priest, jaws living lightning
3x 3man 3x stormshield and one cyclone terminator squads
2x double melta GH packs in drop pods
1x 4 missile long fangs
1x 4 missile long fangs in razorback

I had: (I used this for the rest of the night)
Belial
Interrogator chaplain
5x combi melta 2x storm shield (I had points left over) company vets in a drop pod
terminator squad, apothecary banner. 3x hammer cyclone 1x claws 1x chain fist
terminator squad, cyclone 3x hammer 1x cyclone 1x chainfist

3x typhoons (seperate squads) with MM


We got sieze ground dawn of war. I pretty much went pew pew pew, wrecked his razorback and long fang squad, both his scoring units and something else and he conceded turn 4.


I then played a BA player

We got annihilation dawn of war. I shot 24+ str8 shots into his storm raven, over two turns. It exploded wounding astorath and killing a DC. Dante and the assault squad assaulted one of my termie squads killed 3. Next turn my command squad with belial and the chaplain charged in, Dante lived but ran away. He killed a speeder. I killed the tac rhino in CC and then the tac squad in CC and i escorted dante off the board with a speeder.

Tabled him.

Next opponent was a guard player

we got capture and control, dawn of war.
He charged his lord out who I killed and allowed me to slingshot (6 for consolidation) into his gun line and just rolled it up.
He had 7 vets left after i chain fisted his turbo boosted valk.

result win 2-0

Well here is 4/5 of one of my warrior squads done!
I went with a winter theme to match pretty much everyother army I have.
There is free hand on almost all the bone parts, and my vehicles will be named in japanese with it written on their hulls.

These are for an 1850 GT in February (now that i look at it, that words spelt weird...)
I hope to get these done like 1month before the tourney so i can just go back and touch up on them.

So! Here is my list, combines some of my favorite models and good shooting (my favorite phase) and some close combat. It's not super hardcore but should do pretty good. Te overall strategy is to move in formation while blasting everything.
